Das sind Ihre Aufgaben
- Find creative ideas for new multifunctional polymer-based materials, product designs and fabrication technologies
- Assessment, selection and implementation of most promising ideas
- Polymer, compound and formulation development for new functional adhesives or films and integration in prototypes and products
- Identify suitable innovation partners, customers or suppliers and orchestrate interdisciplinary cooperations to accelerate innovation, especially in discovery projects
- Take over responsibility to lead projects and contribute to feasibility studies in interdisciplinary teams. Supervision of technicians, apprentices and interns in the lab
- Secure development results with own IP
- Trend scouting and ideation
Das ist Ihr Profil
- PhD in chemistry, material science, chemical engineering or similar discipline and optionally postdoctoral experience in an interdisciplinary field.
- Deep scientific understanding in organic and polymer chemistry, synthesis chemistry and reaction mechanisms
- Professional experience in the fields of rheology, polymer reaction engineering and analytic methods advantageous
- Competence and enthusiasm to study and extract relevant information from literature and patents and to transfer it to own work
- Motivation to cope with challenging and changing new tasks and interest for trends and innovation
- Proactive, team oriented and analytic workstyle and practical hands-on mentality also in the lab
- Excellent English skill
