Material Scientist - Synthesis

Find creative ideas for new formulations, product designs and production technologies in the field of adhesives and tapes and assessment, selection and implementation of most promising ideas
Polymer and formulation development for new functional adhesives & films and integration into new products and applications
Development, evaluation and implementation of new concepts for new technologies and manufacturing processes in close cooperation with internal departments, suppliers and external cooperation partners
Position may require one to take over responsibility to lead projects and feasibility studies in interdisciplinary teams
Passion to also work in the lab hands-on and supervise co-workers
Secure development results with own IP
Scout new ideas and trends

PhD, in polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, materials science or similar discipline
Professional experience in the fields of organic and macromolecular synthesis
Deep Understanding in the area of reaction mechanisms and analytical methods (NMR, GPC, MALDI-ToF, others). Experience and interest in polycondensation chemistry, electro-chemistry or simulation advantageous
Competence and enthusiasm to extract relevant information from literature and patents and to transfer it to own work
Motivation to cope with challenging and changing environments and adapt to new tasks readily responding to dynamic markets
Team oriented and analytic workstyle with ability to integrate in divers and interdisciplinary teams
Excellent written and communication skills English essential. German is advantageous, but not a requirement.
