Working Student for Technical Business Development (m/f/x)

You support the team and projects to identify and develop new business opportunities for tesa based on high performance technical developments for new customer segments. The position is at the cutting edge of R&D (TD/PD) and business development and requires both: a in-deep technical as well as commercial, entrepreneurial understanding.
You support the development of innovative and sustainable adhesives that includes polymerization of acrylic-based polymers, formulations, and coating via different technologies (solvent- and solvent free).
You perform synthesis of new sustainable and bio-based raw materials. You prepare prototypes and laboratory adhesive samples to conduct tests to measure the performance.
You investigate mechanical, thermal and viscoelastic effects of new adhesive systems.
You document, interpret and discuss the results of your developments in an appropriate form to the project teams.
You work closely with technology development teams and technical business development experts

You are an enrolled student ideally in Chemistry and Chemical engineering, who preferably holds a bachelor’s degree. You have knowledge in macromolecular chemistry, polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, technical chemistry, or materials science.
You have laboratory experience in polymer synthesis, organic synthesis, formulations, and analytical testing.
You have a very good command of English & ideally German language skills as well.
You are a strong communicator and enjoy working in a team.
You are confident in using the MS Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
You have a high level of self-motivation and an independent way of working.
You are located close to Hamburg as around 80% of the working time is on-site at tesa Headquarters in Norderstedt
