Das sind Ihre Aufgaben

The PO for Battery Technology Development, leads the design, development, and validation of new battery component concepts until from ideation to scalable prototype with proven manufacturability. This role manages cross-functional engineering teams and partner relationships to ensure timely delivery of battery components that meet technical specifications and quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and resource plans for battery component development.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for project partners, assisting with contract setup, negotiations, communication, issue resolution.
  • Steers engineering activities including target setting, requirements definition, supplier selection, design release, prototyping, and testing (DV & PV).
  • Manage the bill of materials (BOM) and collaborate with design, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure part validation and sourcing.
  • Lead key technical and project decisions impacting deliveries and manage change control processes.
  • Identify and resolve project blockers related to technical issues, supplier performance, or organizational challenges.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to lead FMEA and other risk mitigation processes.
  • Communicate project status and escalate critical issues to senior management.

Das ist Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing battery technology development projects in automotive or related industries.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with battery material and process development lifecycle.
  • Experience interfacing with automotive OEMs in the context of battery technology development
  • Experience handling projects with startups in the context of battery technology development
  • 4+ years of experience working in R&D, for a battery cell or material manufacturer
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the battery technology landscape, both in Europe and North America
