As a Lead Technology Developer – Acrylic Adhesives, you will work at the forefront of product and process development, contributing directly to the creation and optimization of advanced acrylic-based adhesive solutions. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with interdisciplinary project collaboration and offers the opportunity to scale innovations from the lab to commercial production. Your tasks include:

  • Support technology and product development projects within the field of acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives.

  • Independently perform laboratory-scale polymerizations and build deep expertise in polymerization processes.

  • Conduct preparative lab work with a focus on formulation, analytical methods, and adhesive performance testing of novel acrylate-based PSA.

  • Develop and continuously optimize new acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesives, including experimental planning, sample preparation, and evaluation.

  • Support process development and scale-up activities, from lab scale to commercial production, including planning, execution, and documentation of plant trials.

  • Identify, test, and evaluate new raw materials; manage supplier contacts independently.

  • Present research findings in internal and external seminars, meetings, and project reviews.

  • Independently manage R&D projects and feasibility studies as part of interdisciplinary teams.

Das ist Ihr Profil

  • Master’s degree or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science with a focus on polymer or organic chemistry.

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in industry or academia are advantageous.

  • Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE) is desirable.

  • Strong practical skills in preparative laboratory work.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new chemical concepts and their potential applications.

  • Independent, analytical, and collaborative working style.

  • Experience with project and data management is beneficial.

  • Confident communicator with strong organizational and networking skills.

  • Excellent command of English and confident use of standard office applications.
