As a Lead Technology Developer – Acrylic Adhesives, you will work at the forefront of product and process development, contributing directly to the creation and optimization of advanced acrylic-based adhesive solutions. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with interdisciplinary project collaboration and offers the opportunity to scale innovations from the lab to commercial production. Your tasks include:
Support technology and product development projects within the field of acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Independently perform laboratory-scale polymerizations and build deep expertise in polymerization processes.
Conduct preparative lab work with a focus on formulation, analytical methods, and adhesive performance testing of novel acrylate-based PSA.
Develop and continuously optimize new acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesives, including experimental planning, sample preparation, and evaluation.
Support process development and scale-up activities, from lab scale to commercial production, including planning, execution, and documentation of plant trials.
Identify, test, and evaluate new raw materials; manage supplier contacts independently.
Present research findings in internal and external seminars, meetings, and project reviews.
Independently manage R&D projects and feasibility studies as part of interdisciplinary teams.
Das ist Ihr Profil
Master’s degree or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science with a focus on polymer or organic chemistry.
Several years of relevant professional experience in industry or academia are advantageous.
Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE) is desirable.
Strong practical skills in preparative laboratory work.
Ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new chemical concepts and their potential applications.
Independent, analytical, and collaborative working style.
Experience with project and data management is beneficial.
Confident communicator with strong organizational and networking skills.
Excellent command of English and confident use of standard office applications.
