Das sind Ihre Aufgaben
As a Product Developer – Mounting Solutions, you will be instrumental in advancing our double-sided adhesive tape technologies, supporting a wide range of applications across industries. This role combines hands-on product development with cross-functional collaboration and strategic portfolio input. Working closely with marketing, production sites, suppliers, and external partners, you will lead technical development projects from concept through to manufacturing scale-up. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to contribute their expertise to innovative and application-driven adhesive solutions.
Your tasks include:
Drive the development and continuous improvement of double-sided adhesive tape assortments.
Lead complex product development projects involving multiple interfaces and international collaboration, working closely with marketing, production sites, suppliers, and external partners.
Contribute to the strategic development of the mounting and fixation product portfolio.
Identify, test, and evaluate both in-house and third-party tape solutions.
Plan and oversee pilot and production trials, analyze results, and support the transition to full-scale manufacturing.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, document, and implement technical know-how, including supporting IP protection of R&D outcomes.
Conduct and evaluate freedom-to-operate (FTO) and prior art searches in collaboration with the legal department and compile findings in a structured format.
Willingness to travel occasionally to production sites in Germany and Italy (optionally to North America and China).
Das ist Ihr Profil
Diploma or Master’s degree in engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, or chemistry — preferably with a focus on polymer or material science — and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience (or a PhD as an alternative).
Ideally, hands-on experience with acrylic, synthetic, and/or natural rubber pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Cross-functional technical knowledge, including materials, formulations, processes, technologies, and product application.
Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE) is a plus.
Skilled in physicochemical material testing.
Independent, team-oriented, and analytical working style.
Proven experience in managing complex projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Strong presentation skills, including in international contexts.
Excellent English language skills and proficiency in standard office tools (MS 365, etc.).
