Das sind Ihre Aufgaben

As a Product Developer – Mounting Solutions, you will be instrumental in advancing our double-sided adhesive tape technologies, supporting a wide range of applications across industries. This role combines hands-on product development with cross-functional collaboration and strategic portfolio input. Working closely with marketing, production sites, suppliers, and external partners, you will lead technical development projects from concept through to manufacturing scale-up. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to contribute their expertise to innovative and application-driven adhesive solutions.


Your tasks include:

  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of double-sided adhesive tape assortments.

  • Lead complex product development projects involving multiple interfaces and international collaboration, working closely with marketing, production sites, suppliers, and external partners.

  • Contribute to the strategic development of the mounting and fixation product portfolio.

  • Identify, test, and evaluate both in-house and third-party tape solutions.

  • Plan and oversee pilot and production trials, analyze results, and support the transition to full-scale manufacturing.

  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop, document, and implement technical know-how, including supporting IP protection of R&D outcomes.

  • Conduct and evaluate freedom-to-operate (FTO) and prior art searches in collaboration with the legal department and compile findings in a structured format.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to production sites in Germany and Italy (optionally to North America and China).

    Das ist Ihr Profil

    • Diploma or Master’s degree in engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, or chemistry — preferably with a focus on polymer or material science — and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience (or a PhD as an alternative).

    • Ideally, hands-on experience with acrylic, synthetic, and/or natural rubber pressure-sensitive adhesives.

    • Cross-functional technical knowledge, including materials, formulations, processes, technologies, and product application.

    • Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE) is a plus.

    • Skilled in physicochemical material testing.

    • Independent, team-oriented, and analytical working style.

    • Proven experience in managing complex projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

    • Strong presentation skills, including in international contexts.

    • Excellent English language skills and proficiency in standard office tools (MS 365, etc.).
