Das sind Ihre Aufgaben

The Novel & Functional Materials laboratory is driving manifold developments in the area of functional adhesives and coatings. In an international environment novel materials and technologies are utilized to realize innovative tesa products. The position is focused on releasable adhesives for improving sustainability of adhesive bonding (debonding on demand).

  • Ideate and utilize novel chemical and physical concepts for debonding of adhesive bonds and related adhesives
  • Develop products and processes on the basis of proven concepts
  • Investigate and implement physical activation methods for release of adhesive bonds
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer in an international R&D organization
  • Set up and run relevant application tests to characterize the properties of debondable adhesive tapes
  • Initiate and manage R&D-projects
  • Cooperate with external partners from science and industry
  • Contribute to intellectual property rights management

Das ist Ihr Profil

  • University degree, ideally PhD, in Chemistry or Material Science (with focus on polymers)
  • Professional experience in the field of polymer- or adhesive technology as well as related material know-how, advantageously also in the fields of electrochemistry (e.g. polymer electrolyte development for batteries, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), voltammetry, open cirquit potential (OCP/OCV))
  • Solid practical know-how in the area of polymer compound development and/or polymerization
  • Strong problem solving skills and an innovative attitude
  • Team spirit and service mentality
  • Full professional proficiency of English, German language skills appreciated
