Your Tasks

  • Develop functional adhesive tapes with focus on flame retardant adhesives and fire resistant tapes
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer regarding flame retardant adhesive tapes in an international R&D organization
  • Take the lead in transferring innovative chemical and physical material concepts to functional adhesive tapes
  • Initiate and manage technology development projects internally and with external partners
  • Provide technical consultation for business cases and translate customer needs and applications into tape requirements
  • Set up and run relevant application tests to characterize flame resistant and further functional properties of PSA tapes
  • Manage intellectual property rights related to flame resistant and fire proof materials
  • Broaden tesa´s scientific and business network

Your Profile

  • University degree or PhD in Chemistry, Material Science or Engineering (with focus on Material Science)
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience
  • Experienced in the field of flame retardant polymers as well as related material know-how, advantageously also in the field of fire resistance
  • Solid know-how in the area of polymer compound development
  • Strong problem solving skills and an innovative attitude
  • Team spirit and service mentality
  • Fluent english, German language skills appreciated
