What you will do
As a Senior Scientist specializing in Integrated Coating Processes, you will focus on the creation and characterization of thin (multi)layer systems from polymers. Your role involves expertise in coating processes of adhesives (waterborne, extrusion, optional e-spinning), controlling physical or chemical processes occurring during coating, and contributing to in situ process characterization.
Design and characterize thin (multi)layer adhesive systems from polymers, focusing on coating processes and their precise control.
Contribute to in situ process characterization, utilizing digital control and data science methods.
Lead an interdisciplinary team of scientists, fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
Utilize extensive experience in literature searches and patents to contribute to the IP portfolio.
Collaborate with external R&D partners, embracing open innovation strategies.
Spearhead advancements in coating technology, contributing to sustainable adhesive technologies and products.
Share expertise and knowledge within the company, facilitating growth and development.
What you will need
The role requires a strong commitment to technology and product development, the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, high expertise in knowledge and patents within a technology field, and a dedication to collaboration with external R&D partners to drive innovation.
PhD in Material Science, Polymer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (materials focus) - habilitation optional.
10+ years of business experience, with at least 5 years in industrial research or product development.
Strong expertise in patents and literature searches.
Proficiency in English.
Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office.
