What you will do

As our (Senior) Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in setting up high quality group financial statements and take our group accounting and consolidation processes to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our exciting journey, transforming the Group Accounting Department into an IFRS Excellence Center for the entire tesa Group.

 

  • Steer the preparation process for quarterly and annual group financial statements, overseeing consolidation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
  • Manage the impairment tests process in accordance with IFRS, providing decision templates and guidance to management.
  • Serve as the IFRS expert and business partner for all entities within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with subsidiary entities to collect financial data and resolve intercompany transactions, ensuring seamless integration into the consolidation process and enhance data accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements, while also driving the development and enhancement of internal policies.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes related to group financial statements, address inquiries and implement recommendations to strengthen financial controls.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within group accounting and reporting, implementing changes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role within a corporate group or audit firm
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and consolidation techniques
  • Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the business environment and navigate complex financial scenarios
  • Disciplined and self-motivated; keeping attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multinational teams and departments
  • Fluent English both written and spoken
