Process Engineer - Extrusion (m/f/x)

What you will do
- Evaluate and implement processes on pilot scale and transfer them to production scale, with technical responsibility for specifications, acceptance criteria, etc. for Pilot Center or Global Opperations.
- Develop and/or design machine layouts and production concepts (incl. technical responsibility for assortment in pilot production) considering safety, quality, efficiency and sustainability.
- Supportplants globally in trouble-shooting, start-up, training of operators.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise pilot and/or production trials, technical lead of (up to 5) operators during trials
- Initiate and contribute to invention disclosures.
- Perform literature and patent searches in consultation with the related responsible persons, support FTO analysis from a technological perspective.
- Provide input to the relevant Technology Roadmap(s) while making investment recommendations for technology development.
- Actively build up and maintain internal and external networks, with the focus on technological aspects incl. scouting and screening of new technologies (e.g. suppliers, fairs, institutions, academia).
- Support recruiting and technical guidance of students or apprentices.
What you will need
- Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Engineering or Science, with at least three years of relevant professional experience preferred.
- An assertive personality with proven hands-on capabilities and excellent technical comprehension.
- Willingness to travel, both nationally and internationally.
- Identify, assess, and solve complex problems.
- Foster curiosity, explore innovative ideas, and think creatively.
- Plan, organize, and manage resources effectively within projects, meeting deadlines.
- Handle complex projects and collaborate with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
- Communicate clearly with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Fluent in English and proficient in German.
