What you will do
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for adhesive formulations, process technologies and tape performance prediction – including physically-based methodologies.
- Research and evaluate academically and commercially available AI software to enhance R&D capabilities.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify correlations, trends, and technical insights that can inform product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI-driven solutions.
- Communicate research findings and technical insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Build, validate, and maintain data models to support R&D activities.
- Collaborate with the IT team to leverage digital solutions for analyzing historical test data.
- Support in the implementation and execution of educating employees on data management and analysis by best practices and tools.
- Stay updated on advances and innovations in the fields of research, science, and material informatics.
- Search and review technical information, including patents, technical papers, and trade journal articles.
What you will need
Education / work experience:
- Master degree in Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline* with at least 5 years of respective professional experience. Background in applied polymer science or relevant fields is favorable.
- Expertise with digitalization of production processes and systems
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, (mathematical) statistics, data modeling techniques, and data visualization tools including ML/AI tools.
- Strong knowledge and experience in programming in R, python, MATLAB or similar. , cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), analytic tools, LLM, Gen AI.
- Language skills: English fluent and German proficient
- Ability to
