Compliance Manager (m/f/x)

What you will do

  • Initial counselling of employees in the operational areas of tesa SE and its affiliated companies on all compliance issues with a focus on anti-corruption, antitrust law, money laundering, product liability, but also on other cross-cutting compliance issues, such as tax & export compliance, IT compliance, HR compliance.
  • Supporting the experts in the compliance fields
  • Implementation of compliance requirements in the business processes of tesa SE and its affiliated companies in Germany and abroad
  • Group-wide communication in connection with various compliance measures and initiatives
  • Planning, support for - or independent implementation of compliance training in the aforementioned areas of focus
  • Responsibility for the whistleblower protection system
  • Control and reporting activities (internal and external)
  • Reviewing operational plans and projects with regard to potential compliance risks (e.g. through business partner checks)
  • Revising and creating new guidelines and practicable processes
  • Reviewing existing compliance documents and processes for practicability
  • Close cooperation with the other compliance officers and interface functions
  • Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer of the tesa Group in the continuous development of the tesa Compliance Management System

What you will need

  • Successfully completed studies as a (business) lawyer or in business administration with a focus on compliance or a comparable degree with a similar focus
  • Relevant professional experience in the area of compliance
  • Proven experience in the area of compliance in an international environment, ideally in the automotive or chemical industry
  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability to identify compliance risks and develop pragmatic solutions and system adjustments
  • Strong communication skills and excellent knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages are a plus
  • Committed, creative personality with a hands-on mentality
  • Very good understanding of economic contexts and practical solutions
  • A structured, independent and energetic way of working
  • High assertiveness, confident and motivated demeanour
  • Ability to work in a team and desire to work in a team with flat hierarchies
  • Initial experience in matrix structures or in a corporate environment
