  • Team Leadership: lead and develop cross-functional teams with adequate project management skills/organization.
  • Entrepreneurship: Drive business ideas from inception to lead customer closure. Establish new market segments with sales potential exceeding €30M. Foster high-level relationships with industry leaders, co-developing new business ventures.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Dive into global market trends, identify and evaluate new market entry opportunities and shape and implement our business development strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology, product development, business units, marketing, and sales. Ensure a cohesive approach in all phases of new business development.
  • Analytical oriented: Set and achieve ambitious targets, monitor project performance, and assess project effectiveness.

Your Profile

  • Educational Background: Advanced university degree with a business and/or Polymer/Material Science background. 7-10 years of managerial experience in Business Development (B2B environment) and/or Sales/Marketing.
  • Growth Mindset: Thrive in seeking and driving new business opportunities. Navigate seamlessly in a fast-paced environment with assertiveness, resilience, and a proactive approach.
  • Technological Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of market dynamics and emerging technologies, especially in polymer/material science.
  • Sales and Negotiation Expertise: Proven track record in executing high-value deals and complex negotiations.
  • Communication and Leadership: Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams. Proficient in modern project management methodologies, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovation & Impact: Track record of driving innovation in business development. Startup environment experience is advantageous.
  • Strategic Thinking: Showcase proficiency in developing business strategies.
