Your Tasks

• Ensure compliance with regards to safety, quality and environmental standards
• Manage laboratory staff , incl. hiring, training and technical qualification, performance management , and development for future career steps.
• Ensure proper functionality of the lab (people, infrastructure, processes, representative technology knowledge).
• Resource planning: Identify, schedule, and allocate resources for specific projects and service activities.
• Overarching technical competence to build and ensure the required framework within lab
• Responsible for developing, maintaining and life cycle management of an assortment of technology building blocks, intermediates and products.
• Provide input to Technology Roadmaps and Strategy .
• Contribute to, provide consultation or initiate invention disclosures and motivate team members to do so.
• Support or lead FTO analysis from a technological perspective.
• Strategical input on overarching topics ( e.g. supplier relations).
• Ensure continuous improvement of lab processes , incl. digitalization, and support the according change management / transformation initiatives
• Actively build and maintain specifically internal networks with a focus on production sites, business units, global purchasing and other relevant functions.
• Align budget with department head, incl. purchasing, inventory management, and people qualification.

Your Profile

• Education / work experience: Master degree in Science or Engineering discipline with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience in laboratory context
• Language skills: English fluent and German beginner
• Broad knowledge of relevant technologies.
