Your Tasks

Globally responsible to develop the Lab Automation strategy for TD/PD.

Selects automation technologies and tools and implements these, along the processes for maintenance and calibration.

Is responsible to build process for lab automation data analysis & further data leverage for simulations and digital twins.

• Develop concept and strategy for the Lab Automation in TD/PD globally.
• Evaluates and selects new automation technologies and tools to keep the lab at the cutting edge of industry practices.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to source and implement advanced automation solutions.
• Conducts vendor selection process with purchasing and provides recommendation for investment to the leadership.
• Manage the implementation of Lab Automation equipment and installs processes for maintenance and calibration of automated lab equipment.
• Ensure that automated systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with different teams to install processes for lab automated data analysis, reporting and further data leverage to build simulations and digital twins.
• Organizes training for the lab personnel on the use of automated systems and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with IT and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.
• Document procedures, protocols, and results related to lab automation projects.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of lab automation processes.
• Prepare and present reports on automation project status, outcomes, and ROI to senior management and stakeholders.

Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to deliver highly complex lab automation projects on time, within budget, and in scope.

Your Profile

• Education / work experience: Master degree in Science or Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 8 years of professional experience.
• Language skills: English fluent and German beginner
• Accredited Project Management Training/Qualification (e.g. IPMA Level C, PMI, PRINCE2 , SCRUM) is highly desirable.
• Additional coursework or certification in automation technologies, robotics, or laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations, such as ISO standards for adhesives and materials testing.
• Background in laboratory practices, instrumentation, and data analysis is a plus.
• Ability to;
