Your Tasks

As a Laboratory Technician – Debonding on Demand (m/f/d), you will contribute to the development of next-generation adhesive solutions that can be selectively released or “debonded on demand.” These innovative technologies support tesa’s commitment to sustainability by enabling repairability, recycling, and material separation across various industries. In this role, you will play a key part in the formulation, testing, and optimization of adhesive systems—working hands-on in the laboratory and pilot facilities to translate ideas into tangible products. You will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and external partners to turn innovative concepts into real-world solutions.   • Collaborate in formulation development and maintenance within the field of adhesives.

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate tests independently in laboratory and pilot plant environments.

  • Analyze laboratory samples with respect to adhesive performance and polymer characteristics.

  • Take responsibility for sub-projects or work packages within larger R&D projects, supported by your manager.

  • Document and present results independently in relevant project meetings and teams.

  • Support the coordination of supplier interactions and development collaborations with external partners.

Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemical Production Technician, or similar qualification, with several years of experience in a relevant field.

  • Enjoys practical, hands-on laboratory work and taking organizational responsibility within the lab.

  • Enthusiastic about developing and testing innovative adhesive systems and exploring new concepts.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

  • Strong team spirit, communication skills, and structured working style.

  • Proficient German skills (written and verbal) and intermediate English skills
