That is why we aim to make sustainability a priority at tesa® and get to work with this crucial transformation of our business significantly faster and more urgently than previously envisaged. Our challenge is to rapidly reduce emissions, to improve the sustainability of our products and packaging and to ensure responsible procurement. 

The holder of the position Sustainability Manager Materials & Circularity will be the key player within the Management Unit Consumer enabling the whole organization to think, act and execute in an outstanding manner with regards to Sustainability.

Your impact:

  • be part of the transformation of tesa consumer turning towards sustainability
  • review and further develop existing sustainability strategy in a team
  • broadening the scope of sustainability by defining further purposes
  • become the consumers sustainability voice by identifying segments, needs and pain points
  • report continuous progress on sustainability
  • become a go to person for our  sustainable and circular product transformation
  • lead interesting sustainability projects such as green claiming
  • support development and execution of a communication strategy to position tesa® as the most sustainable adhesive consumer brand
  • challenge all levels of management as well as employees thus ensuring a new spirit and sustainable mind set
  • be part of the tesa sustainability network including several working groups

What you will need

  • Relevant university degree in the field of sustainability management/science, circularity or business administration, or equivalent, ideally with a focus on sustainability
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience related to sustainability management (ideally circularity)
  • Experience in sustainable product development (e.g Life cycle assessment) within the consumer goods industry
  • Knowledge of EU regulatory landscape on Circular Economy and Raw Materials
  • Ability to think and work strategically, conceptually, and analytically
  • Experience in structuring processes and managing and reporting data
  • Good project management skills: maintain focus, set priorities and stay well organized
  • Broad understanding of material compositions of different products 
  • Proven experience and success in developing a sustainability strategy and positioning a brand as sustainable market leader
  • Assertiveness, team spirit and excellent stakeholder management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
