Research Engineer - Rubber Adhesives (m/f/d)

What you will do
In our technology laboratory, we develop rubber-based adhesives for technical adhesive tapes. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of polymer chemistry, polymer compounding, innovation, and practical application.
- Development and continuous improvement of rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesives including designing experimental plans, conducting practical lab work, and evaluation of adhesive and tape samples
- Project lead or support of technology and product development projects
- Process development of rubber-adhesive compounding and scale-up from laboratory to commercial scale
- Identification, testing, and evaluation of new raw materials in addition to independent coordination of supplier contacts
- Work with digital tools such as LIMS and AI to support faster development
- Presentation of results at internal and external seminars and meetings
- Support securing research and development results by IP
What you will need
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science or a related field.
- Analytical, independent, problem-solving working style
- Strong practical lab skills
- Several years of work experience favorable
- Experience in rubber compounding, polymer extrusion advantageous
- Excellent communication and networking abilities, team-oriented, confident in presenting findings internally and externally.
- Experience in project and data management advantageous
- Full professional proficiency of English, German language skills are appreciated.
